ESA’s North Central Florida district held contest #4 this past weekend at Ponce Inlet. The conditions looked less than favorable, but rideable, and with the forecast calling for increased windswell as the day went on, everyone maintained a positive vibe. The morning conditions proved to be the most challenging with waist to occasional chest high sets, but quite soft and not a whole lot of power behind them. As the day wore on and the tide went out, the surf picked up a little and we started seeing some nice steep wedges on the inside bar. All in all it was fun day, and not to mention a day at the beach!
